Role Description This is a remote contract role for a Tax Preparer at T&S TOP TIER TAX SERVICES. The Tax Preparer will gather and review client financial information, documents, and prior returns to ensure completeness and accuracy. Responsibilities include preparing individual and business tax returns, applying current tax laws and regulations, and identifying potential deductions and credits. The role involves analyzing financial statements and related data, resolving discrepancies, and communicating with clients to clarify issues. The Tax Preparer will also maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax law changes, safeguard confidential information, and use tax preparation software and tools to deliver high-quality work within agreed timelines.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Tax Preparation and practical experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
- Candidates should possess skills in Tax, Tax Law, and the ability to interpret and apply current regulations and compliance requirements.
- Candidates should possess skills in Finance and working with Financial Statements to analyze client data accurately.
- Relevant qualifications such as a PTIN, EA or CPA credential, or completion of recognized tax courses are beneficial.
- Strong analytical abilities, detail orientation, and proficiency with tax preparation software and basic office tools are expected.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, professional client service, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting are required.
- Prior experience in seasonal or contract tax roles and familiarity with multi-state or small business returns is a plus.
